A couple of popular options are our roll up banners and step and repeat banners.
Vinyl banners are the most commonly used and affordable option for getting your message across. Vinyl banners are naturally water and ultraviolet (UV) resistant which makes it excellent for extended outdoor use without degrading or fading. This material is available in a wide variety of thicknesses, most commonly the 13oz variety, up to a thicker 18oz. For most purposes, the 13oz variety is the best option for your trade show banner.
Mesh banners are made from a special PVC polyester material that allow for airflow through it. This quality makes them suitable for outdoor uses, where in windy areas they will not be blowing away. You most commonly see this type of banner material at construction sites. For trade show banners, it is less of a suitable option because trade shows are not usually conducted in windy areas. If you want to have a mesh banner, the artwork should have more contrast to make it easier to see due to there being less area to print on this type of material.
The fabric banner are usually make from high quality nylon/polyester blend that is nice to touch and look at. This is a very popular material for trade show displays due to the fact that it is flexible to some degree and works well with different types of display frames. Fabric trade show banners are printed using advanced dye-sublimation process which transforms ink from solid to gas, then dyes the cloth to really make your trade show banner pop.
Metal grommets are rings that are typically paced on the corners of trade show banners, though they can go all around the edge if the banner is large enough. This way you can attached the banner a number of things like ropes, string, hooks, nails, etc.
Welded hems are done with a heat press, which is done to all four sides, to increase the strength, especially with trade show banners that have grommets. Some people will put a strip of very strong double sided tape along the sides, then fold the edge over to achieve a similar result.
As the name implies the flush cut is just a simple trim, with no additional hemming. This option is the most cost effective and is good for decorative trade show banners where there won’t be any additional stress applied to the banner.
